I have an 08 Sahara 2 dr dual top with tow package. Looking for more height. I do use it to tow. Are 19/60s with rubicon shocks too much?

Is it level or do you still get a rake?

So, I'm going to put a set of 18/19 coils on. I think it will do just the trick to get it leveled out. I'm guessing my front swar bar links will be fine. Please let me know your opinions.

Thanks!

After I added the bumper and winch, I had to turn the Relay Rod coupling about 5/8 of a turn to straighten the steering wheel. Then I had to turn it back plus a little the other way after changing springs. Did not have to touch anything else. I think you'd hafta change the height well over an inch before needing any other adjustments.

(My journyman mechanic friend says that the link across the front is a Relay Rod. Every time I call one of those links by the wrong name he likes to remind me that a Drag Link runs fore-aft in the vehicle, a Relay Rod runs left-right. Of course he is old-school.)

there are tons of before/afters though in this thread. just page through it.

its 100% worth doing. its an actual suspension upgrade on the cheap vs just spacers or something which do nothing for the ride. the rubi shocks are night and day (although they do nothing for your lift)

here is a pic worth showing for now though on the spring size difference.

(front springs show the most difference)

Did your axle shift at all from all that lift? I just checked my coils. Both left tags were gone but both right tags were there.

Rear: 68004256aa
Its a 2 door Sahara dual top (came from factory with hard and i bought a soft top on ebay for summer) tow package auto. I'm assuming this means I have "14s and 56's"

What would a good upgrade be?

So I got my JKU unlimited Rubi springs super cheap with no miles on them, (man I love ebay!) now looking at a 2" coil spacer kit. Do you guys think the rubi shocks are enough for the 2" lift I will have on the 2 door, or do I need aftermarket? Dont want to break or bend any housings or anything.

I don't think you'll have a problem but its not a definitive thing. Just test it to see if your shock is bottoming out. its something youd likely hear if you were.

Nothing to make me say 'ya, run out and get new shocks' rubi's are great shocks.

how much lift did you get from your springs alone? or you doing them with the spacer at the same time?
Yeah, I am going to do them together. Thinking right after christmas. I am going from 14/15 front and 55 rear. Seems like a majority of the people who are doing the swap are getting about half an inch per rating, so I am looking at 1.5-2 inches going to 18/59's.
As for the shocks, I found some shock extenders that got a pretty good review from a reliable source, but for the price I could almost get new aftermarket shocks and skip taking the chance of the extenders failing, at the worst opportunity I am sure. I have searched around quite a bit on the web, but have yet to find anybody who put spacers on their rubi and kept everything else stock. I am going to keep searching though, I dont want to be "the first one" to try.
Thanks for your advise, I will post up pics and specs when I get everything put together in a few weeks.

Installed my Rubi JKU springs and shocks today. Swapped 14/56 with 18/59. Gained 1 inch in the rear and 1.5 inches in the front. Ride is a little stiffer but the Rubi shocks make a world of difference over stock. 2010 2dr Sport. Hard top. Half tank of gas.

Need some assistance please. I've been searching for stock replacement springs and can only find some used ones on ebay. Can someone direct me to where I might find some new oem springs? Thanks
