What type of ride are you looking for? Stiff = bilstiens
Comfort = ome
Budget goodness = teraflex

Another option is rancho 9000 adjustable shocks. You can dial in your ride. Northridge has all these shocks available.

I have 18/58 springs on my unlimited. Worth going up the next step to 19/60?

If you had them for free and already in there doing other stuff sure but I don't think it would be worth purchasing and installing unless your are sagging alot and wore out.

My 2010 Rubicon has 14s on both sides up front, and an H in the VIN.

And consider what you're gonna do off road too. I went and played in the rocks with guys on 35's (mind you I'm on 31's) and I was able to keep up surprisingly well. I attribute some of that to the amount of flex the bilsteins were able to give me.
Yea, I got his 15 seconds of video in the rock garden that took me about 2-3 min. The bilsteins are a very nice ride and his ridiculous wide stance helped as well.

As for coils, bumping to 18/59 or 19/60 is a cheap lift of 1.5-2.5" and the ride is night and day if you can add some Rubi shocks to it (sport models)...

Ok guys just finished the front from 14 &15 to 19's. I gained 1.75 in the front. I thought 1.5 inch but after I drove it and remeasured in was at 1.75. Now someone was wanting to know about the springs up front one side being one number lower. Well when I measured my driver side is around .19 inch higher than the passenger side. But I have a empty tank right now. But you can not tell it at all by just looking you have to measure to even know there is a difference.

Now this leveled me out perfect and now I am torn between installing 60's on the rear or leaving the rear at 55. ANy advice???

Also I had a abnormally on the passenger side shock bolt (bottom). It is suppose to be 18mm bolt but I had a 3/4 inch bolt with two washers one on each end. Thought that was odd. ANd I have never messed with it before so it came from the factory like that. should I get the proper bolt?

I also had a pretty bad shimmy in the steering around 40 to 50 mph before change out. Well it is almost gone now and what is there is most likely my tires as they or really bad. I do know this the sway bar bolts wasnt torque right and the shock bolt up top was a little loose. I redid everything and torque everything correctly. made a big difference in driving but I do need new shocks bad.

Also any of you put on a new steering stabilizer? I bought a rancho 5000 but it wont fit in the factory mount. I want to up grade but want it to fit in the factory mounts. ANy suggestings?

I have pics and will post as soon as i can figure it out. LOL

Hey there spring-freaks!
And again several weeks had to pass, but this evening I found some time take my 6515 and 6516 front springs out and put the 6517 and 6518 in.

Wanna know the height difference?

3 centimeters, dead on!!!

I'll measure again in one week, to see if it settles a bit or not.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!
I don't know how to comment on all of the pictures, so I'll just write it all here, and then post the pics. Yes I know my driveway isn't level, but I parked in the same spot and stood in the same spot with the camera.

Before the swap, I had 33.5" from the ground to the bottom of the wheel well at the center of each tire.
After the swap 37.5"!!!

The stock rear springs (53,54) are just shy of 13" and the rubicon 59's are 14.5"
The stock front springs (12/13) are 16.25" and the rubicon 18's are 18.25"

For whatever reason the rubicon rear shock is longer than the X, but the fronts are the same.

UPDATE

A little over 2 weeks later and no spring sag, still 37.5" all of the way around.

After driving just some 25km and having the JK's Diesel weight rest on the front springs for one night, they settled 5mm.
So today I'd say, that I still got 1 full inch out of the 6517/6518 combination!

Default Wow - Maybe stock numbers have changed...

1 - JKU Sport
2 - Both hardtop and soft top
3 - 17
4 - 58
5 - black
6 - A?
7 - 2011

My jeep stands decently tall as it is, even with stock tires/stock everything...

Am I going to see much difference in my ride or height if I upgrade to 18/59s or 19/60s? I'm guessing that the shocks will still be anupgrade if I puttin the rubicon shocks...
