L22 - Rapid Response Recall
does anyone have any info on L22 - something to do with the tranny dipstick.... they are trying to say this will correct my overheating tranny lol

This recall applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a 3.8L engine, automatic transmission and built for China market through April 18, 2011.

What is this dipstick fix? a plug to prevent over flow when overheated??
Hello, chrysler, add a $50 aux cooler. Problem solved.

I have been trying to tell them this for 4 months now, but they seem to think that this will fix it.
It will be back in there 24 hours after its been done anyways ......

I can finally answer this, since I have "chinese" JK.
I had this recall done last year. All they did was change the trans dipstick.
The service advisor told me the old dipstick was too short, but the fluid level was good though and they didn't have to add trans fluid.
I had checked the trans fluid level before using the Torque Pro app for temp reading, and it was fine with the old dipstick.
My guess is, that the dipstick is basically the same but on the new dipstick it says you must not add any fluid if the level is anywhere between "cold" and "hot".
Well, I wanna know if the dipsticks really differ in length, so could anyone please measure their dipstick (3.8 engine)?
My new "China only" dipstick measures 32 3/4" from the tip to where you see the tape measure in the pic below.
