Yeah the only thing holding the FOB up to your chin is going to accomplish is you looking like a dumbass.

My range is probably 15 ft tops. Sometimes 5. I just figured to hell with it and deal.

Mine will work from inside the house almost all the time, but sometimes I can be 10' away and nothing, well it takes a few tries. I have been able to remote start at about 100 yards....across a soccer field....just wanted to see if it would.

I think your on to something here. I know I have been able to lock the doors 50ft away and then at time only 10... I have noticed that certain sides/Front/back do make a difference in my reception. There has to be a PDF out there on instlling the lock system from MOPAR. That should lead us to the place.

I haven't measured mine, but it really doesn't seem to work until I get a few feet from it.

I would like to see a PDF of the locking system and sensor....and take a looky....as that is the only guess I have for our terrible distance to lock and unlock as I have exhausted all other idea's at the dealership.

how about this, use your fob to lock your jeep. walk down the street until just the point where it no longer responds. then take 10 steps even further away and face your jeep with your fob pressed against the bottom of your chin. click it. be amazed. go kiss your wife and tell her the amazing news.

Yup, been doing that trick since the late 80's (~'88) when the Key fob started to gain popularity
