Mine was very poor as well. Sometimes I had to be right in front of the jeep for it to work. However, since I recently got my Mopar remote start installed, the range has improved big time.

Arrow no complaints here

Mine works great - I never really gave it much thought, but I would say the range is approximately 100 feet give or take.
...When the doors are on that is

It should work 100 feet away no problem.

Had it since day one.....15ft tops!!!! I had at the dealership....they tested the battery, changed the batteries and they reprogramed the keys and it still SUCKS!!!! The dealership knows it's a problem. Where in the jeep is the sensor that picks up the key signal to unlock the doors??? Would there happen to be something in the way to reduce the distance of locking/unlocking???

I know I have way more trouble unlocking/locking the doors from the rear...seems like the tire is an issue....but I have not clue

When I get back tonight I will test it out and measure to make sure I'm not stretching the truth.

Wow -- my old thread!

At the dealership, they gave me a new key (no charge) -- and it did exactly.......................

NOTHING! I'm still in the range of 5-10 feet -- sometimes I literally have to standing at the frickin' door to unlock it with the remote -- sux but I got used to it... better than engine stalling, top leaking, or death wobble though!

I lock my Jeep up every night from bed. I hear the reassuring beep before I go to bed. It's a ritual we do every night, sort of like a good night kiss . That way I know she's all snug, locked and ready for bed . I'm sure my neighbors hate me though.

I've never actually given it much thought, but it's range has got to be 100 -150 feet.
