Keyless Entry Problems
Sorry for the bad spelling/grammar, writing this from my mobile. I have been having issues with my wireless entry system for some time lately and usually have to be within a foot of the steering wheel for it to work. I have had a diagnosis of the issue and was told that both my keyfobs were bad even though one is unused and the other used daily. Both have the same behavior so my concern is that since if the issue is with the keyfob the dealership can charge more as it's not under warranty where if its the ECU it would be. Is there any way without buying a new FOB I can prove that the ECU is to blame since the wireless signal from the FOB is not the issue?
