Default Just Bought Superchips Flashpag- have questions

I bought it yesterday recommended by a friend and was wondering what is a good tuning for Stock 2010 4dr Rubicon? I have no mods whatsoever...just trying to improve gas mileage and shift points and throttle response. I heard about 91 tune for 87 octane fuel but i don't want to cause problems with my engine. I do run 87 octane gas. Anyone run just the quick tune???

I've tried the towing tune when I was stock and it was great. I had this part on the freeway I drive on 5 days a week and, with cruise on, my Jeep would always kickdown to maintain speed, with the towing tune that went away. Now that I have 35's I switched to the 87 tune as that seemed to give me a better drive...Could be a placebo effect though but if my brain likes it, I like it

I've had the Super Chips Flashpaq since last April. I run the 91 octane tune and find it has the best throttle response, though I did lose about 1mpg, which I'm fine with. The "fuel mileage" tune is useless -I got about 3mpg LESS than stock tune in the same driving conditions, with even more sluggish response! I have a 2007 Unlimited X with the 4.10 gears, so it should be pretty much the same as your Rubicon. The only real difference is I have the 6sp manual, not the automatic. Hope this helps!

I have had mine for 6 months and have tried all the tunes. I feel that the tow tune with 87 octane runs the best for me. I have a JKU Rubi auto.

I have been running the 87 tune and it is great. I would like to try the tow tune but I do not want to use higher octane gas than 87. Many people say the tow tune is fine on 87 but Superchips recommends higher.

I'm on the same boat as you. I really don't want to use higher octane than 87. I might have to try the tow tune first.

I wonder, no one mention about using 91 octane gas on 91 tune!!!

Isn't the tow tune turn OFF overdrive??? and increase your idle? how are the shift points....how about throttle response. mine is sluggish on the 1st and 2nd gear. and trying to pass on the freeway going 65 sounds like an airboat.

There is no 91 here in Houston. 87. 89. And 93. I think it's 89. I am able to pass just fine now with the 87 tune and intake/exhaust upgrade.

I've tried 93 octane but not much difference from 87. Remember before u get ur inspctn stcker u have to put it back to stock and run the vehicle for a good day so their computer can read the vehicles emission and other readings. so far it is one of my best upgrades. The economy mode sucks. Now I'm runnin 35s w stock gearing. I'm getting about 15 mpg around town at 60-65 mph
