jk swaybar disconnect question
Hi guys,
So i've cleaned out my swaybar disconnect housing and installed the evo no limits quick disconnect on it, but have a question on the internals of the sway bar housing. When the whole unit is apart on the passenger side, there is a gear on the housing and a sway bar that goes through the gear (passanger side). Should that gear rotate with the sway bar or its permanently attached to the sway bar housing? on mine it looks like its attached to housing and i can turn the sway bar freely and the gear stays in place. I feel like sway bar should be welded to that gear just like on drivers side.
If thats the case then not sure how mine broke off and what i can do about it. Any suggests and thoughts on this?
thanks

If yours is still opened up, can you slide the gear off the bar? When you rotate the bar and you see the gear not rotating, does the center of the gear rotate with the bar?

I haven't tried sliding the gear of the bar. I thought the gear is stuck to housing. Yes when i rotate the bar the inside piece of the gear rotates with bar, but gear remains in place. I actually thought the center piece is the actual bar no? Do i just try to pry the gear off some how? i just don't want to damage the walls of the housing.
