JK and 4,000 lbs boat towing question
I have a stock 2015 2dr JK with 3.73 gears, 6 speed and 33" tires. I have a boat that is every bit of 4,000 lbs. I just want to pull it out of the water and clean the boat and then drop it back in. Ramp is not very steep. I don't know the tongue weight of the trailer. I am not worried about stopping since I won't be going more than 100 feet and feel pretty confident that the jeep has the power to get the boat out of the water. I am worried about the suspension and fender flairs. I don't have extended bumpstops. I can take the tongue weight off while I clean it but am curious about everyone's thoughts on using the Jk basically as a tractor to get the boat out of the water and back in? Anyone done this? I love the boat and JK so don't want to damage either. Again I won't be on any roads just the parking lot at the ramp.

4lo and go. I pulled a tandem axle dump trailer across the yard to my neighbor's house. Pulled a large wood chipper up and out of a swampy mess. You'll want to keep an eye on driveshafts because they've got sections of thinner wall that may crinkle if you give it too much skinny pedal- but I haven't had that issue yet.
