Default Reduces glare

Like ECHO has said, the decal is done for the reduction of glare off the hood. At least that was the original intent, not sure that Chrysler knows it, seems like just a gimmick.
I had a much larger matte black hood decal on my last Land Rover and it makes an incredible difference to a driver's vision, especially out here in the sunny Southwest. I never did have a problem with waxes building up on it, but that was probably due to the MacGuire's wax designed to not showed white residue.

The less stickers on mine the better.

Those Mountain decals are gaudy as hell.

Pat, do you have cut-outs for all your panels on your JK including doors? I saw the pictures on this June's Whipsaw trip and was curious about the black panels and forgot to ask until I saw your post in here.

Don from PIXELDECALS is going to have replica hood blackout decals available on his site soon.

He's sending me out a prototype. I'll be sure to post up lots of pics after I install it.

Default $150?

I think you could get it painted for less and it would last longer.

What makes this a "Mountain edition" is there anything special or different about it? Or is it just the ugly stickers on the hood?

Got my hood decal from Don at Pixeldecals.

I like it. It cuts the glare of everything from sun to windshield lights.
