Has anyone seen the new Mountain Edition and its black hood decal? I think it looks pretty cool, although the price from the stealership was like $150 (Part# 82212345) ... so definitely something I will not be buying anytime soon..

The decal is cool. I'm sure you can get one made a heck of a lot cheaper.
My personal taste, I'm not a fan of the hood matte black.

Is the flat black on the hood paint or a decal? Wonder how it will look if you get wax or road oil on it?

Nice. If that is the real reason they did that then its pretty smart. I can tell you that looking at my Bright Silver hood after I've waxed it can be a little distracting.

I find peoples reactions to factory stickers interesting. The majority seem to hate the side hood sticker on the islanders, and peel their "X's" off the sides whe they get their jeep on the driveway the first time. Rubicon stickers are ok, and sahara stickers are a 50/50 split. But product and custom stickers usually show up 50 at a time. I'm not complaining, just trying to see what the census is on certain jeep items.

I just bought a Red hood off a Rubi($100.) and I am gonna strip it and add louvers and aev snorkel and paint it flat black.


Sidewinder and Maverick missles would be nice also..............................

Take it to a body shop and have it professionally painted. I can point you in the right direction for a few body shops in the phoenix area if you are interested.
