I've had the same issue on my 08 for about a year now. Battery is new and usually I wait a few mins up to half hour, then it starts. I figured it was the starter but will check ground wire and plugs.

"No crank" has been an issue with my 08 Rubicon once before and it has happened again. Starter replaced, ground strap replaced and transmission range sensor replaced. Taking it to originating dealer in Jasper ga.next Tuesday TO HAVE TRANS PAN PULLED AND VALVE BODY TAKEN OUT TO GET TO THE SWITCH. iT'S COVERED UNDER LIFETIME POWER TRAIN WARRANTY.

Let me know if that works, did you buy the life time warranty or is that on all jeeps?

Novae21, I bought my 08 just when they instituted the Lifetime Power Train Warranty, so I did not purchase anything additional. In fact, will get the 5 year inspection done when they replace the range sensor switch. I've got 67,000 on it. Been a good Jeep, change oil and rotate and balance tires every 5,000, change front and rear axles every 20,000, transfer case done @ 40,000, transmission done @ 55,000 and plugs/wires/pcv valve replaced @ 60,000. Maintenance is the key.

Any ideas? Starting motor? Battery?
The electrical system is cutting out, lights flickering etc. It's a 2008 2dr auto.

Help would be appreciated.

Here's what the dash is telling me:

The ground wire seamed to fix my no start issue. It think the next thing I will do is upgrade all batt wires starter wire and grounds. Maybe to a #4 like the ones on me golf cart.
