It would be interesting to hear from people if it is more prevalent with 3.21 & 3.73 geared vehicles compared with 4.10 or greater (aftermarket) diff ratios?

My 2-door 6-speed does it, even when I'm reversing in low range though not as bad as in 2-high. At first I thought it was just clutch judder however then I read about the autos doing it as well, and besides it is a different sensation to classic clutch judder. Having the stock 3.21 diff gearing myself I put it down to the too-tall gearing (combined with the tall reverse gearing, which is higher than 1st) loading up the driveline; when it starts doing it I ease off the gas or pop the clutch until it stops & then slowly resume backing again.

reverse shudder
My 2009 Unlimited w/ 3.73 does it also. Any time I reverse up an incline....the drivetrain shakes pretty significantly... Dealer has no clue...

X2. My 2010 does same thing. all my other parts are tight and trans is fine. Just for kicks, put it in 4WLO and try it. with the idle up and gearing, you probably won't notice it.
