Default Is the issue with the gas tank burping back during fill up fixed?

I know my 08 had an issue of spitting gas back unless you filled it with a slow rate during the end of the fill. Im wondering if the issue has been resolved. I have a 2012 now but haven't tried filling it differently than the 08. I'd like to just click the nozzle on hi and not worry about getting a gas bath.

I had read several things about this prior to purchasing my 2011 and was a little worried the first time I pulled up to the pump. But I have not had one problem with it. However, like 1724 says when its full its full. You can't get much extra in once it stops without a run over. Did find that out the hard way! So be careful with the top off....

Mine did this too had the tank replaced twice but hasn't happened since. Third times the charm I guess. Service manager said some tanks do it and some don't and there's no good reason why.

I can't let my 11 sit there and fill up without being right beside it.... I walked into the store during fill up once and Came out to find 5+ gallons spewing out of the fill hole.. Had to jump in there quickly and stop the pump.
