Intermittent Extended Cranking Time
Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone is experiencing extended cranking times once in a while. It always starts, but every now and then, it takes about 3-4 seconds af cranking before it fires. I would take it to have it looked at, but it's not doing it often enough, and there's no set patern to it, so I don't want to waste my time at the dealership.

Thanks for the welcome, redWRANGLER. After I posted this, another thread magically appeared in the stock JK forum right above this one, called touble starting. This thread has about 65 posts, and there seem to be alot of people with the same issue. Guess that answers my question. Thanks.

Yep, me too...
Happens to me, dealer took three hours to tell me he couldn't figure it out, Everytime it happens I pay close attention and try to think what it could be, maybe how I stopped the motor, who knows, it doesn't happen too often but it is once or twice a week... Congrats on the new Jeep, you will learn alot here -Captain

Well, it happened to me agiain today. Looks like I'll find out what my dealer has to say about it cause my airbg light came on 3 times today, so I guess I'll have to take it in. Also, while I'm there, I'll ask about the squeaky TO bearing, and the chirp shift, even though those 2 things really don't bother me that much.
