Im pretty sure that dvd isn't going to come on unless your parked. They don't want to get sued if u crashed while watching a movie.

I know it's a pain but in my "family car" I would not pay the mega $$$ for a DVD from GM ($900), so I went to a Meijers and picked up 3 mini DVD players with in car (not Jeep) (Sorry, couldn't resist) power cords. I had to get a dual plug for my 12 volt plug to handle it and they can all watch what they want. Cost: less than $200. ($59 ea) NO distractions to me, especially when they wear headphones.
