Default i'm in need of new brake pads, any suggestions?

48,900 miles and the left rear just started to squeel. I'm looking to upgrade and replace the pads only, any suggestions? I'm looking for some with a higher friction coefficient than stock but won't chew through my rotors. the only ones that I have read any thing about are the EBC pads; Yellowstuff , Green 6000, and the Green 7000 series.

Check out the Hawk pads on jeepswag.com. He's a vendor on here too.

The Hawks sound like a quality product also, does any one have any real world experience with either or both?

I used Wagner Thermo-Quiet semi-metallics. They've performed well and we're terribly expensive.

I second the wagners. Good warranty from local parts stores.

They are running a $15 rebate on them right now too that I read on slickdeals.

Wow, you made it to 48K on your first set of pads!

I'm at 35K in my 2 door and already had to replace the rear pads twice and fronts once. Heavy tires and hilly terrain I guess.

+1 for Napas, work great, no black dust on my rims and they gave me my second set of rear pads free. Lifetime warranty thing.

Search the forum for Autozone's Duralast Gold Cmax they seem fairly popular and have a limited lifetime warranty. That's what I am thinking of using when mine go.

I would also recommend Hawk. I noticed an improvement is stopping on my Jeep. They were also made in USA!
