Ignition switch problem
I have a 2013 JKU with manual transmission. When I try to start it, the starter does not respond until I’ve made repeated attempts with turning the key. However, I’ve just noticed that if I put a good amount of downward pressure on the key while turning it, the jku will start right up. Otherwise, everything works normally.
I’ve googled it and see that a lot of older jeeps had similar issues and needed a new ignition cylinder actuator pin, but I didn’t see much of anything regarding jku’s other than this part not being sold separately from the steering column.
Any thoughts?
