Default Good in Florida

It rains a lot in Florida. I have had no leaks at all. I carefully follow the manual, and inspect gaskets to make sure they're not pinched or folded before I clamp down and put in the hand screws. I also make sure the panels look straight by looking at the seams.
I take that back, when the windows are down, i get some rain coming in until I close them

Mine leaked (above each interior door latch) in August and then I took it to the dealer and they underestimated the problem. They ended up keeping it for two days. All they did was trow on some weatherstripping, which I had to rip apart when I put my hard top on last week. I haven't had a leak since. You would think after 60 years of jeeps, they'd have this figured out. Dang engineers and designers.

I've had mine for 11 months and it did leak a little when I first got it. But whenever I remove the panels I'm really careful how I set them in place when I put them back on, and I've had zero leaks for months now. Last night we had really heavy rain and I drove 50 miles on the interstate - it was one of those rains where people were driving with their flashers on (I hate that!) and you really couldn't go much above 40 or 45. Not a single drip.

well.. I've been re sealing the seals one at a time..

Dont wanna go to the dealer because I know I can do a better job than them.. besides, If I fix it and 3 years later it leaks again, I know how to fix it.

Just put a small bead of OSI Quad sealant underneath the center seal because when it leaks theres water underneath it..

not between the two freedom panels but in between the center seal and the passenger freedom panel. Now just gotta wait for it to dry then have some rain.

No leaks yet. I went to a high pressure automatic car was yesterday, and had accidentally left the threaded knob out of the passenger side panel, but still no leaks. I did, however, run the vent at the highest fan setting to create positive pressure in the vehicle. It works, because when the carwash lays soap, you can see bubbles around one of the rear window seals.

Another thing I do, but haven't done yet to this vehicle, as it is still very new, is to take some formula 303 or Armor-All and go over the seals. It keeps them soft and I believe the light film helps them seal better.

I have had mine since December with the panels off more times than I can count and not a single leak. I wonder if it could be the panels being put on wrong. The problem comes in that it might only need one time to ruin the seals forever. If when it got to the dealership they immediately went out and looked at it and put them on wrong pinching one of the seals. Or worse if it got hot afterwards warping the fiberglass.

if that happens the only way to fix it would be new panels and all new seals, hoping the company that makes the tops have good manufacturing so that a top from another one will fit yours properly.
