OK, it just started raining here in Sacto after a dry summer so I guess I can finally say I don't have any leaks in my hardtop. Build date was 11/06...

I don't have any in mine, I did once but that was easily fixed after tightening the screws.

I purchased my 2dr '08 Rubicon about a month ago. Have taken the front panels off several times (but not that back yet.. I don't have a garage since I live in the city, and it doesn't fit through my door) -- NO LEAKS SO FAR!

I don't use the round screw thingys anymore. Forgot to put them back in once, drove in the rain for a week with no leaks, realized they weren't screwed in, so Iv'e left them in the glovebox ever since. I don't notice any difference in wind noise with or without them either. I'm wondering if they were mainly designed for running with the front panels on, and back hardtop off? I could see how the rear of the front panels would lack support without the back hardtop on. Otherwise, I don't see why they are needed.
I've had mine off several time and no leaks. The only time I use the round screw thingies unless the main top is off.

Never leaked With the hard and soft top. If the rears already on, I do the passenger side first make sure everything is lined up. I dont slide it across the gaskets I set it and if it needs adjustment and lift and move. Sliding can cause ripping. Hit the passenger side wind screen clamp, then the black lock.
Driverside the same and then insert the screws.

I agree with what's already been said. Take your time in putting them on. Have had mine off and on 6 times not one leak.

I have never had a leak!!!!! And the screw downs on the back of the panels over your shoulder have not been in it since JUNE 29, 2007...... I use the car wash and went thru a tropical storm

I do consider myself lucky...after hearing all the guys having trouble with leaks

I have noticed that water tends to pool up there and when you open the door and sit down it rushes off the rain lip before you can close the door!!!!!!!
