Default How to remove decals?

I debadged my JK on one side so far. The decals came off OK. How do I get the adhesive off without damaging the paint? I started with WD40. That worked OK but taking forever. Is there a better way and product? The Sahara decal only left a little adhesive but the wrangler and unlimited left all of it.

Hair dryer before you peel, then stick with the wd-40. It took mine about 3 doses of the wd-40.

When I removed my Sport decals I started with WD40 as well. After realizing it wasn't working as fast as I wanted it to I went to the garage and dabbed a microfiber cloth in gasoline. Took the adhesive right off. Not sure of the damage it could've caused but it doesn't seem to have hurt my clearcoat or paint at all. I think as long as your not drenching the paint in gasoline it should be OK.

I used a hair dryer to peel and a tar/glue remover from advanced auto to get the residue. Worked great.

Heat the decal to almost too hot to touch. peel it off by not folding it back on itself. Soak the remaining glue with alcohol/wd- 40/orange citrus/goop off.... on a rag. Hold it on the glue for a few minutes. Then just keep on wiping with clean parts of the rag.

I don't know how long you've had yours on there, but I used a hairdryer on my '11 and they left no residue

You can get the adhesive off with tar and bug remover also.
