I leave it in as I routinely tote kids to get ice cream at night. But, I do remove the rear head rests that block visibility. Although, headrests are really important for rear-end collision safety. I'll put them back in if we are going on a trip or something.

for me its 50x50 I would love to leave it in but when camping its impossible to keep it in as the lack of storage space.

Got a 2D JK. Took the backseat out a week after I bought it.

I found it was blocking my rear view.
So then I kept it folded.

But the damn thing comes off the rear hinges when folded, and keeps banging up and down on the road. Banging down on my stuff too, which is pretty bad.

So it's been out ever since, so a little more than a year...
Put in back twice for a day, when I needed it for a 3rd person. I find it very stupid that they made it a full back seat, it would have been much more intelligent to have two small individual seats.

The seat and rear carpet are out and stored in the garage all summer. I put them back in during the winter months.
Cause I feel like it.

2 door here and my seat only goes in a few times a yr, 95% of the time it's sitting in the garage. The 2 door is perfect for two and gear without the rear seat in

1 wife, no kids, 2 german shepherds = no back seat needed 95% of the time (2dr). I put it in only to take friends out wheeling.

I only keep it in a few weeks a year......
being married with two dogs... I have no friends.....
seriously though........that about does it in a 2 door. I only put the back seat in when I have visitors, and I know we'll be going off road. Othewise we take the car.
