My engine makes a slight raspy, rattle-ish noise under light load at low speed. Does anyone else have this issue, or is it an issue at all?
Did your motor burn oil?

A very little bit. About 1/2 a quart every 5000 miles. I took it in for lifter noise, but it seems they found evidence that a bearing was going to spin soon and they preemptivly replaced the while shortblock. It was running like a champ though.

My new motor doesn't burn a drop.

good to see over 90 percent of V6's are happy...

when i was checking out which engine to have in my JK...i surfed the 'net a lot...
i really wanted the petrol option...rubicon too...
but i heard a few negative remarks about the 'minivan' motor...
and some refered to it as a 'dog'...

as i'm in ireland...i'm not sure what a minivan is...
and why that might not be a good thing...
but i can guess that being a 'dog' is krap...

could someone please fill me in...cheers.
