unless I pull it all the way it won't hold sh%t. Although if I pull it all the way I can still drive away. (2 stupid amateur driving mistakes to find this out.)

It is an emergency brake as it runs on a completely seperate system. Parking brakes use an existing system (hydrolic system). Drums brakes are not the best but you can adjust it via cable or adjusting the brake in the drum. I have adjusted mine and use it if I stall on a steep climb while playing. It holds up pretty well.

Yup, I have stalled my stick before...

Most parking/emergency brakes I am aware of use a cable (not hydraulic pressure) to hold the drum or rotor tight with shoes or pads. The reason it's called emergency brake is because if you loose brakes due to a busted line or whatever, the cable will still pull the shoe/pad to stop the vehicle.
The reason many manufacturers have gone to the little drum inside disc brakes is because it is much easier (read cheaper) than clamping a rotor with the brake caliper assembly.
But yes you should adjust or have it adjusted. And make the dealer fix it as soon as possible!

In a rotor brake system, if the calipers freezes up, a parking brake isn't going to help. In this senerio, you still have the drum brake.

I find it hard to believe that attaching a cable to the caliper is cheaper than building a completely new brake system within a rotor system.

Well I had to look at where the brake adjuster is... senior moment. It is next to the ESP cable harness on the back side of the axle.
