They should have known that Jeepers are always taking them apart.

Aint that the truth.

I don't know why they would think that we wouldn't find out something like this. I mean it's the most modifiable vehicle on the market. Every wrangler owner (weather off roader or not) buys stuff and changes this and that and tweaks stuff. The staff must have had their head up their fourth point of contact the day they ok'd that move. NOT COOL DC

Jeep probably knew we'd turn this "sport bar" into a "roll bar" and the welds needed would just burn the paint anyway .

Weld??? What about those bolt-on roll-bar additions? Or is it just safer/smarter to weld them on?

If it's too much effort... Instead, i'll just not roll my Jeep.... was lookin' forward to taking a couple lateral rolls to get down a hill, to make my break-pads last longer of course!!

I pealed the padding back on mine as a possible path to run some wires, and no the cage is not completely painted. Thought it was odd, but the jeep sure has a nice look to it with the padding on. So i have nothing to complain about.

Yeah the roll bar padding looks good, but it's the point that DC cheaped out on a little extra paint.
