Default How to Chop Fender Flares?

For you guys that have flattied your stock fenders...What did you use to cut them with? and did you use the same plastic rivets to put them back on?

Clackey..I have read your write up and the fenders look good. At this point I have to take the front lip off like you did and I guess what you would call the "outer Lip". Probably a bad idea to try and cut the flares while there still on the jeep ..right? Did you use the plastic rivets to put them back on?
