Spent some time talking with the dealership service mgr about this. He totally acknowledges the problem and says they install transmission coolers as the solution. He insists the cooler will not affect the warranty unless its a hack job that leaks or something. He totally recommends I install the cooler and says not to worry about warranty.

This is the word of a single service mgr. Other dealerships may be different.

This is a serious problem with Chrysler. Which, is why I will personally never buy a Chrysler product ever again.
Read some of these threads. There are many more threads than what I have posted. Point is, this is a known issue with Chrysler and they have an obligation to rectify this problem. They have not done so in many cases. This could burn an attached garage and your entire house down. My recomendation to all Jeep owners is to buy fire extinguishers, ( more than one) and keep them handy in the event you would have to protect your family. Why ??? would any Jeep owner would have to foot the bill for an after market trans cooler is beyond me. Read some of these threads just from this board alone and it definately will make you shake your head.

ID:	220330Chrysler will eventually pay for the installation of your external trans cooler with persistance. My 2011 Rubi was purchased in April and I took it in every time the Hot Oil Light came on. I credit my wife with her persistance and have a dealer installed, factory cooler for 3 days now!
Suggestions: Make sure you get a case manager and a case number from Chrysler. Call every day. Don't deal with the service manager at the dealership, insist on dealing with the service director. My wife took over for me last part of August and now no more Hot Oil.. I hope.
Always write down the name of the person/persons you spoke with, date and time. Be nice, this was my down fall and my wife's road to success.

Count me as another one, Chrysler customer service just called back and said to get with my service adviser to have the oil cooler ordered and installed on their dime!!

I ended up going to the dealer twice with both times opening a case with Chrysler. The first time the offered to pay for half, and now they are going to install it for free!!

I am so stoked.
