Question Here's a stupid question

I'm about to install a standard soft top on my JK and have to install the bow mount brackets first. The only way to do this is to remove the roll bar padding, correct?

Check the area where it attaches, there should be a velcro 'slit' you can open up without removing the padding.

Yup.
At the back, about halfway up the roll bar you'll find a flap velcro'd shut, open it up and you'll see where the bolts go for the assembly...I'm about to take my hard top off tonight and put the soft top on...would you like a pic of what we're talking about?

EDIT: They are actually screws, not bolts...
