Default Help wet diffrential

im ordering an arb diff cover from northbridge tomorrow thats when ill have the dough but i noticed a couple days ago that my fron diff was really wet and it might be me being crazy but i swaer at high speeds i can hear a humming sound in intervals like every 5 seconds humm...gone hummmm... gone and its not loud loud but enough to wear i can hear it i guess my question is will the front dif in 2wd if its low on fluid make that kind of sound or am i letting the sound of my own wheels make me crazy. I think my last wheeling trip i buggerd it up a little and my rubi has 25 grand in milage and the service manul says to change the fluid at 24 so im barily makingit. Help!! the wetness is from righ tto left on the bottom about 7 inche son the cover and there is no steady drip but when i got home from work today there was a beed on the bottom.

it is pretty easy to check the fluid level and even change it yourself.....i would only be concerned with the noise if it was truly low on fluid.....but i hate stuff leaking.

Usually humming noise that are tied to speed are associated with bearings. I would imagine it difficult to hear bearing in the diff box from the interior of the car, but if you hear it you hear it. I would check the fluid level, and look for damaged or bent parts shafts. If nothing seems a miss, keep using it. If it is a bearing, at some point the noise will be unmistakably heard, and you can get it fixed.

I highly recommend the Lube Blockers from Northridge or others on here/elsewhere, those are awesome for sealing, dry-seal.
