I wish I was that lucky! Mine was pretty well bonded on.
75% of the time I put into the job was probably spent getting the pulley free without destroying it, and putting a spring loaded hose clamp back in place. It really shouldn't have been that hard...
Not sure if it mattered either, but I did the job at about 110K miles.

Guys thanks for all the help.. I was finally able to tackle down the pump last night.. no more leak.. Was such an easy job.. The only problem I had was the dain plug in the radiator not drainning any coolant.. So I just made the mess and took the pump out with all the coolant in the engine still... Now im jeep beach ready

thought same thing but was told this...
Hi 305jk
If your car is 2008 or +, and if you are the first owner then you have lifetime powertrain warranty in some components of your engine, the waterpump is covered by that warranty.
I just changed mine after 162k miles and my warranty covered the price of the waterpump. My JK is 2008
Go to dealer and ask them.

Glad you were able to get it fixed without too much issue. I just did mine this past summer. Stupid me used just the gasket and no rtv....needless to say as soon as I was done and cranked it the antifreeze started weeping from the gasket.. Used the orange rtv the second time and it's been going strong without a drip..
