Default Help! Which transfer case do I have?

I want to verify my transfer case. I have found one wrong part already and now I am paranoid. I have a rubicon and it does have nv241 stamped in the metal tag on the case, but isn't the command trac a nv241 also? should my stamp have "nv241 or" signifying the rock-trac?
I have searched but can't find clarification. I also looked in the pdf oem parts sticky but could not find answer.

Well, the service manual says that the tag on the transfer case should specify the ratio:

"An identification tag (1) is attached to the rear case of every transfer case. The tag provides the transfer case model number, assembly number, serial number, and low range ratio.

The transfer case serial number also represents the date of build."

The rubi should have the NV241OR transfer case with a 4.0:1 ratio.

The tag does have 241 J and at the bottom it does have 4-1. How important is the "OR" after the nv241?

Oh and the factory had put a 140 alternator on. I mentioned it to the dealship and they replaced it with a 160.

If it says 4:1 then you should be good.

To check the alternator, I requested my build sheet from customerassist@ chrysler.com . They didn't hide it. It was listed as 140 so I had salesman run the sn. Sure enough it was a 140 alt. I show him various things showing the rubicon comes with a 160 and he checked on it and ordered me another alt.

Nice catch on the build sheet! I'm going to check mine once I get back home.
