I read quite a few posts on the different dash lights that light up when I was diagnosing mine.

Here's one that was discussed that included the brake light. 2007's and 2008's were mentioned in that discussion and it was diagnosed down to the ABS module.

In either case, the best thing to do is to have the codes pulled to help point the diagnosis in the right direction.
