Default Help identifying squeak in driver's rear wheel area

I've tried various fixes for this and none have worked. I've also tried searching for a similar issue in other threads and have come up blank.

I've got a squeak coming from the area of my driver's side rear wheel. When driving, it is fairly constant. A high pitched squeak that sounds a little like rubbing styrofoam together. Or like a mouse being gently tortured.

I cannot duplicate it when the Jeep is stationary by pressing on the bumper or anything.

I cannot find it by crawling underneath and trying to move various suspension parts with my hands.

If I apply lateral pressure to my tire with my hand, I can hear a faint squeak. This might be the same thing but it's hard to tell. The other three wheels do not make this sound.

It appears to be something in the wheel/brake/spring area. I've taken the wheel off and can also make it squeak by pressing on the brake rotor.

But I cannot find out where the damn thing is coming from!! Any help would be much appreciated.

Tex,
I know this sounds strange....but next time the squeek happens lean forward on your seat. I had the same noise and it turned out to be the ratchet mechanism for raising the drivers seat.

I have the same squeak on the driver's side rear. It sounded to me like the top was a little loose and rubbing on the tub, but that's not it. Like the OP, I also can't make it happen when it's sitting still. Subscribing to this thread to see what other's find.

I have the same issue on the drivers side rear, the dealer told me it was because I need new brakes. Getting a second opinion.
