He who has Clunk, has Electronic Sway Bar Disco..?
All right guys I think I may have tracked down this clunking noise that seems to translate into our steering columns. You can usually feel it on a city street traveling at lower speeds when going over light bumps. If you have it you know what it is, it's very annoying.
I think I tracked it down last weekend.......
I actually think its the Electric Disconnect on the sway bar thats doing it. All of us that have this problem need to relay to others if we have the electric sway bar disconnect....?
The reason I say this is, if you disconnect one end of your sway bar (one sway bar link), then grab onto that end of the sway bar and push it up and down, you will hear and feel that exact clunk! It's as if there's slop in the gears inside that electric disconnect! I'm betting this is the problem!
For me this started after some serious 4-wheelin', so I'm wondering if something internal to the "disco" wore or loosened up. I know there's gears in the disconnect, and to me, it feels like there's slop in them now.

Seems like you need at least another question in this poll to get the info you want:
1) No clunk.
2) Clunk, no e-disco.
3) Clunk and e-disco.
Right?
For the record, I have a sort of clunk (it's more of a looseness in the steering column norticeable when wiggling the wheel back and forth), but no e-disco.
