Default Has This Happened To Anyone?? Computer Problem??

...washed my jeep today (not the engine). Afterward, it wouldn't start. All of the idiot lights came on (and the windsheild wipers). I had to disconect my battery because my high beams went on, the dome light wouldn't turn off (even with the doors closed... yes I gave it time) and the door chime wouldn't go off (key out of the ignition AND doors closed)! Then ALL of the lights started to flicker rapidly!

I could smell a "burnt" smell coming from the enginer compartment, then when I again connected the battery I could hear a rapid clicking sound coming from the fire wall area (plus, all the above symptoms happend again)!

I called the dealer and the'll see me on Monday...

In meantime, HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYBODY??

Probably not related to the wash job... hope you left the battery disconnected. Sounds like a relay frying,... good luck !

Can you beleive it? It was just a bad battery. The dealer stated that the jeep symptoms all pointed to a bad battery.

I asked about it being "possessed" and they stated that this happens all the time.

...next time you think you have a poltergeist in your jeep, have your battery checked out !!!
