Now that I've seen it better, I like it too.

Looks like you could slide a map underneith it.

Thanks for the photos

It was easy to put in, took maybe 10 minutes, and that was going slow. So far, no problems or issues with it.

I was thinking the same thing. RR should make an enclosed steel box for that half of the bar for a CB or something. Would just have to make sure the bar couldnt be removed easily...

The right half of the bar says something about not putting anything there. If there airbag deploys, your items could become missles. I might still try to come up with something tho...

Default Mygig with nav/gps ?

has anybody installed this system over a MyGig nav stereo? I ask because the gps antenna for the map is under that organizer. I like the looks and functionally of this system but still like the map feature on the stereo.

I installed one of these back in May, really like it! handy for sunglasses and cell phones, and the change you get while going thru a drive thru...
I was thinking about making gauge mounts for an oil pressure and temp gauge? I'm not a big fan of idiot lights to warn me AFTER the damage is done!!!

Default oops

a word of warning to the retarded (like me): be careful when installing the standoffs that the mounts screw into. dont overtighten. I popped the little plastic covers on my dash and started ratcheting that bad boy in... and promptly snapped off the mounting stud inside the dash. it doesnt seem like i tightened it too much. maybe mine was just wimpy.

anyway, i tried to glue the standoff in as best i could, and the center portion seems to carry most of the weight, so it is doing ok so far. bummer though. i hope it doesnt come loose later because i kind of like this thing...

other than the big "rugged ridge" logo in the middle. anyone have a clever idea for covering that up?
