Default Hardtop question

I know a lot of us with hardtops have been or are suffering with water leaks.
My question is are any of you out there with the Painted top having the same
water leak issues? By now, this water leak issue should have been resolved.
Just because we drive Wranglers does not mean we're MORONS.

I've got a 2011 JKU with a painted hardtop and haven't had any issues with it leaking. Doors are a different story!

not sure why I got lucky but neither my 13 jku or my 14 jkur have leaked a drop. I should not be so foolish to jinxs myself but lucky so far. I put 19000 miles on the 13 and it spend many hours in heavy rain both driving and parked.

X-2 don't have a painted top, but it's never leaked, knock on wood. Had the doors and top off a lot with no problem. (2012 JKU)

2012 JKUR Silver with painted top. Yup.... it leaks. Up front between the freedom panels. I notice it more after it has been parked in a downhill position while raining.

I have a 2010 Jk and I've taken off my top a couple of time and put it back and never had any leak problems.

I have a plain black hardtop on my 2011 COD and there is a little bit of a leak when there is a hard rain, drips over the Nav radio. Nothing too bad.

The seal on the doors are still water tight.

Same with me, I am getting it if my front is higher than rear. How anyone could explain this? Also it dripping only after Jeep is moved. Is it some pocket there getting filled with water while nose up?
Anyway, i wiped out all rubber parts around freedom panels with 303 protection as someone suggested. If this will not help Jeep dealer will see me ...

Define leak? You will have water in your Wrangler at some point in time. It just depends on the amount and frequency that may have you searching for a fix. The fact that you can pull Wrangler apart in many different ways, I am not surprised that there is a higher potential for leaks. I expect that it would happen sooner or later either from a failing seal or the owners failure to put it back together properly.

Recently I have had a leak that I do not consider "A Jeep thing". I was at the dealership on Friday about a front door leak on both sides in which they replaced the door seals. After spending some time talking to the mechanic and service rep, found that they have seen a number of different issues ranging from deformed panels, seals and owner error. I did get from the conversation that most issues have been with the front top or door seals but it's not all hard top owners, just a chosen few.
