Default Hard Top Repair Question

I nicked the hard top pretty good in the parking garage at work today on a support bar for some overhead pipes.

I am a complete noob at fiberglass, but I think that I need to fix it. I did some in high school when we built a plane, but none since.

Here is the damage:

Any advice or ideas?

Thanks,

Darren

Marine Putty from Lowe's or a hardware store. Fix you right up quickly. I fixed a 4in gash on mine 4 yrs ago, still holding fine.

I can get this locally:

Is it any good?

Looks like I need to get the G/Flex at a Marine store locally. Is it worth getting instead?

I cant read the box but if it says for SMC material or plastics then it should be fine.... The top is SMC and from what im told fiberglass repair doesnt last forever because it doesnt adhere properly.I will say the guys at west systems have a 800 number and are very helpful! But Im not a professional on this by no means, but maybe someone else will chime in! Good luck

I personally agree with coating it with linex or upol raptor liner! If you have the money LINEX forsure!!! Its stronger than all get out and its lifetime stuff!!!
