Hello, does anyone know when the half doors will be released? I thought they were released in late January. I ordered a new Rubicon a couple of weeks ago and I am told that they are still not releasing them. I would also like to see a pic of a 4 door with the half door option and with the top on.

I wonder what is taking so long for the release of the half doors? Maybe they have come up with some really Engineered Door that will amaze everyone.

Jan 31st was the first day they were available, but could be ordered before that; however if you did so, your order might have been rejected or placed on hold.

Mine was ordered on Jan 27th (order was accepted) and it is now in production with a ship date of Feb 15th!

Trailer Tow Group (deletes rear tow hook; can use a D-ring receiver assembly to replace the removed tow hook)

Out-the-door-price (includes 8.8% sales tax plus all the other stufff): $ 28,780.25 (this is dealer invoice price!)

Ordered: Jan 27th
Estimated ship date from factory: Feb 15th

I ordered a Sahara 2dr on Jan 30th and havent heard back from my dealer with any updates. Hope mine gets here as fast as yours. I bet it will take a while to ship though.

If you have your VIN, or as a minimum, your VON (Vehicle Order Number) from your dealer, you can call DC Customer Assistance Center and get current status! Although they are not supposed to, they may give you the estimated ship date!

Here's the number:

They can give you the "Order Status" code which translates as follows:

I got a Rubicon, both tops, power windows/doors, 2 door, Black and it was $25055 (plus $300 for tax and regs) and it was shipped in November. See if you can get the price down some more.

Mine was sold to me at invoice cost! I actually did see their cost (or at least that's what was printed out)!
What's causing the final price to increase so badly is the 8.8% sales tax rate!

Here's the breakdown:

Invoice price: $ 26,350
Sales tax: $2,318.80
License fee: $ 69.95
EMS fee: $ 4.00
Admin fee: $ 2.50
DOC fee: $ 35.00
Total out-the-door price: $ 28,780.25
