Slowly (and without exerting any downward pressure) rotate the plastic "screw" a half-turn counterclockwise to raise the edge. Then, stick a blade, screwdriver, fingernail, etc., under the raised edge of the "screw" and pop it out.
They're not screws so much as they are little plastic plugs that pretend to be screws...

the easiest way to pull those out is to use a drywall screw or wood screw, and thread it by hand into the phillips head on the plastic retaining screw... then just pull up and out it comes.

--You cut the ground from the front side marker lights, splice the marker light ground wire to the turn signal wire on the front turn signals (it's the wire away from the black wire on the turn signal--there are three: black wire--middle wire--outside wire(this one).
Your marker lights will still work as marker lights...but will flash when you use your turn signals. ...very easy mod--easiest to do when grill is off.
Thats a very abbreviated explanation--there's a write up somewhere...too sleepy to find the link at the moment
