Default Good old JK won't start thread (partial crank)

07 JK has a loud clicking/clanging noise when I try and start the car. The belt will move a few inches and then stop so the starter is turning at least somewhat.

I've tried jiggling the gear selector and swapping the relays but still won't start. The starter was replace a few months ago.Battery is good too, no rust on the battery terminals.

Will try and post a video, any ideas?

One of the suggestions to check or add ground straps. Otherwise seems to be something internal in the transmission. Do a search lots of different threads on this.

I'll try more ground wires but for all the threads I saw people didn't get any crank movement afaik

I have a '14 that I bought new and I'm on my 3rd battery. So, I think you just need a new one every 1.5 years. That's the data I've collected, anyway.
