My friend is looking at buying a Rubicon

If the price is for the one with the wheels, bumpers, winch and the res, then it is not to bad, but if the price is for the stock one, then it is nothing special.

yeah its warrentied . I haven't priced any new 2012's so I don't know whats the going rate on a stock rubi 2 dr with navigation.
