I used rustoleum rust reformer. You can get it at lowes or home depot. Works great!

I like Eastwood products. http://www.eastwood.com/rust-solutions.html and then spray 2 coats of their Extreme Chassis Black on the entire underneath. And a few coats of their Internal Frame coating. This might be a bit much but i tow and launch a jetski every weekend in salt water.

POR-15 is some good stuff. I used it on my '69 Chevelle after several decades of Alaskan winters.

X2. I really like the rustoleum products. If only very slight rust, could also wire brush and then use rustoleum primer then paint

First step is to use OSPHO availible at paint and body suppliy shops for about 25 bucks a gallon. This is a watery substance you can spray on rusted areas easily and wait 24hours to let it dry then coat with Por 15 for best protection. Also get a wand and spray inside your frame rails and apply body wax afer the ospho dries. The OSPHO will turn the rust to an inert iron oxide that can be painted over. No method can totaly stop rust but this will slow it down. This is what we do at good body shops to handle rust.

Default Electronic rust inhibator plus

I also had electronic rust protector installed ,and rust protector undercoating done on mine before I took
posession of it at purchase. It will be interesting to see if it made a difference in a few years.
The guarantee was for 8 yrs, which is coincidentally about the same time as things start to rust anyways!
Hopefully it was money well spent.Time will tell.
