Default Gear fluid?

I went to the dealer and got some OEM gear oil and they gave me 80w-90. I have a 2012 JKU Rubi. Is the the correct viscosity? Ive read other posts that say they are using other viscosities. I prefer to stick with OEM fluids in everything.

Does the rear Dana 44 (with 4.10 and factory lockers) require synthetic fluid with a friction modifier additive? From what I see in the manual it says standard 80-90 in front and synthetic 80-90 in rear

Nothing wrong with that decision.
