Stock 2011 JKU with towing package (3.73s) with the pizza cutter 16" wheels and tires. 30 mile round trip 60 hwy/40 backroads. I generally get high 19 to low 20mpg going to and from work. On long trips loaded down even going through WV mountains where I had to downshift I got 22-23mpg. I was keeping my speed under 70...for the most part. I don't expect it to get stellar mileage but I do what I can to help it out.
Hell in the Ford Five-Hundred sedan I replaced with this Jeep I would get 19-20 going to and from work and 25mpg on trips. No brainer same mileage and a more capable and fun vehicle...sign me up!

That is why I had to get rid of mine. A trip I take every few months I would average 11-12 mpg at 70mph +. If I stayed at 55-60 mph I would get 17+. I have been very excited about the new engine. If it does as good as I think it will, I will be back in a JKU within the year. I know it's not a race car, but I have to at least be able to do the speed limit

it would be nice if everyone who reported their mpg's also added info about their jeep. there's too many variables involved and mpg's are all over the board and always will be. My driving is 60 city/40 highway and with that I can average anywhere 13-15mpg yet when I head out of province to my campsite on the weekends I always take the back roads for the last 1hr of the drive and being that the road is flat with very few dips and hills I can easily hit 20-21mpg cruising at 70 kmh ~40 mph
