speed has a huge amount to do with gas mileage. i was getting about 18 overall , got a speeding ticket and now hold it to 55-60 and milege is as high as 22.3 . im consistantly around 20 now 80% highway 20% city .

I read this original post when I was out of town, I logged 175 miles 98% on highways ranging between 65-75 mph, some with cruise control, some not
I averaged 19.9mpg
2012 6 speed manual, no lift, factory 255/175/17's
Only thing I do is keep my foot out of the throttle other than needed so the average rpm's are in the happy Eco range

I have to agree with most of them. I have a 30 mile round trip to work m-f. I lock the cruise in at 4,5 miles over posted limit and I'm averaging 17.5-17.8 mpg. That's 40% city 60% highway. Completely stock. Only thing changed was Pcv valve.

it would be nice if everyone who reported their mpg's also added info about their jeep. there's too many variables involved and mpg's are all over the board and always will be. My driving is 60 city/40 highway and with that I can average anywhere 13-15mpg yet when I head out of province to my campsite on the weekends I always take the back roads for the last 1hr of the drive and being that the road is flat with very few dips and hills I can easily hit 20-21mpg cruising at 70 kmh ~40 mph
