Karis, I have no idea how the lever bent. I couldn't easily straighten it and it was so bent I couldn't move the lever. Are you using the spring hose clamp to prevent any accidental opening? Also, did you need to add a fiber washer to align the valve in a convenient position to access the drain lever? Thanks, maybe I'll put the new one in at my next oil change.

I just ordered 2 of the F-106S valves off the Quickvalve.com web site, looks the same as the F-106N but with a quick release hose option...
