Default Fumoto Oil Pan Valve

For those of you using the Fumoto valve with an oil pan/engine skid, which skid are you using and are there any clearance issues with the valve?

How do you like the valve?

Do you have any issues with it, i.e. accidentally opening, leaking, etc.?

None and nope. It works great for me, no leaks at all. A real time saver. You might want to get a Rock Hard oil pan skid plate. I may at some point when I will go off onto "unimproved roads."

I HAD a Fumoto in and had it done at the dealership during an oil change. They didn't mind doing it but said they'd need to make a notation on my service history, just in case it failed. I had added the clip to be doubly sure it couldn't open accidently. I was getting ready to do the next oil change myself and noticed the valve drain lever was bent beyond belief. I have no idea how this could have happened as I am totally stock and do very little off roading. I contacted Fumoto and sent them pics. They said send it back and they'd replace it. I now have a brand new one, but am using a regular (after market) drain plug. The OEM one was tightened so much by the dealership that I couldn't get it out. Since I don't do every oil change myself, I'll stick with a normal setup to avoid oil change problems. BTW, I have the lifetime and extended warranty. The Fumato is for sale if interested.

Mike- odd that you were able to bend your flapper beyond belief. I was playing in some gnarly rocks and it actually broke the nipple of mine off before any other damage occurred. The valve still operates as designed and is leak proof to this day

Any of you know which valve fits the 2012? F101 or F106?

I run one and have with a few different skid systems, which cover both takes on skidding the oil pan.

Clearance has always been fine, as has the valve itself.

I like it... makes changing oil easy and you can do it hot.

I hope it's the f106, (I did look it up on several sites for the 3.6 engine, and I actually ordered the f106n, as it has the nipple for a drain hose).
i got two, one for the kid too.

I have the f106n & the M.O.R.E skid plate and oil changes are easy with a short tube.

I also had one on a Honda S2000 for about 175k miles, it worked great.
