You need swaybar disconnects which you can buy from places such as Northridge 4x4. The disconnects will allow you to disconnect the swaybar when you're offroad and reconnect it for road. You do not want to permanently disable your swaybar.

There is a thread on here describing some parts you can buy at lowes or home depot to make your own quick discos but I think I am going to buy some from Northridge myself.

You can do the DIY quick disconnect for about 10% of a factory buy. Well worth it.

Yeah you'll get more flex... Just unbolt from the axle.... usually can be done in about 5 minutes..

I would disconnect mine during the staging time..

you dont NEED quick disconnects to disconnect your swaybar, but they do make it 1000% easier to do!

I would also recommend getting a set if you really are going to be doing offroading a lot. what they will save you in frustration, crawling around in the slop to unbolt, & busted knuckles will overshadow any cost involved.

There is a thread here on how to do it manually.

X2 here
I never understood why people think they need a disconnect to disconnect the sway bar. I don't have one and is all I do is slide under and unbolt. Works great and it is not hard. The only down side is if you hit some mud and and to reconnect right after
