Front Axle Track Bar Bracket

Front Axle Track Bar Bracket
Has anyone heard any horror stories about the front track bar brackets? I've seen a couple about the rear where an adapter was used and the torque broke the bracket off, but what about the front? Because mine did. Here's what I think happened:
A couple weeks back, we had some snow and I was doing fine handling it. Well going around a turn, the road (underneath the snow) was basically a bunch of dirt, water, and misc crap from construction. Well it made for a slick surface and I didn't negotiate the turn as well as I should have and the side of the axle whacked the curb pretty good. It didn't seem to do anything major, just turned the steering wheel crooked.
Well I think that managed to basically break the bracket, but not all the way off. So I went in and straightened the steering wheel and everything was working fine. Then today I hit a bump on the freeway and the Jeep started to wobble, bump, jiggle, and wouldn't steer anymore. I pulled over and found out that the bracket now has completely sheered off of the axle at the welds.
So the question is basically, what do I do from here? It's amazing that it happened on a Friday night so the dealership won't open until Monday, but this is something that should be covered under warranty, right? Is there anything I should do besides have it towed to the dealership and ask them to fix it?

Honestly? You broke it. It was not a manufacturers defect. So common sense says no warranty. But you can let the dealer decide.
If it were me I'd take it to a shop tomorrow and have them weld the bracket back on. A six pack should cover the costs.

On one hand I agree with CIJeep. On the other though I think that we should be able to smack curbs more than one time without breaking the thing. Hell my wife smacks curbs constantly in her Honda Pilot and every other car she's had and ya they dont drive straight, but none of them have ever broken.
The welds from one Jeep to another can be quite different. Some of those welds from the factory are really questionable IMO. I would see if the dealer is willing to fix it. If so great, if not then go get it fixed elsewhere. It shouldn't be much to fix it, you just want to make sure it is put back in the right spot. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.
